USC makes Best Multichannel Retailer of the Year 2008 shortlist

04th December 2008

eCommera client USC has made the shortlist for Draper's prestigious Best Multichannel Retailer of the Year award to be announced on January 29th at Sketch in London.

USC beat off stiff competition for a place on the shortlist and was selected by the judges for a place in the final thanks its significant success after a year of working with eCommera to increase its share of the online branded fashion market. Since relaunching on the eCommera platform in March, the USC website has seen considerable improvements in terms of traffic, conversion rates, and like-for-like sales. Traffic is up 44 per cent and online conversion rates have more than doubled. The site has also taken significant market share, jumping 22 places up the Hitwise online apparel and accessories market share rankings within a four-month period and in terms of sales it now sits within the group's top three stores.

The site's success is down to a dynamic strategy devised by eCommera that prioritised the key elements that would have the biggest impact on performance - for USC this was the platform, proposition, promotions and planogram. Besides supplying the platform, eCommera devised and managed the paid search campaign as well as advised on site promotions and email campaigns. eCommera was also instrumental in the decision to increase the online offer and the availability of the range with a near and clear focus on denim so that today some 70 brands and 2,000 products, including 220 denim options are all available at www.usc.co.uk
